"Coming from the more northern, schist-dominated soils of the estate, the 2019 Côte Rôtie Les Montlys is a step up and offers a morefloral, feminine, yet concentrated style. It has a gorgeous array of black raspberries, spring flowers, violets, and peppery incense.

On the palate, it’s medium to full-bodied, has aseamless, incredibly elegant texture, and ultra-fine tannins. It doesn't have the same blocky weight as the Montmain, but it's much more silky and complex. This is a beautiful, classic Côte Rôtie that will drink well for 15-20 years."
